I was doing fine this morning. I made sugarless pancakes with St Dalfour sugarless cherry jam and I was a happy girl. I was kept busy so I was fine until I entered the supermarket to get some supplies. My trolley dragged me towards the confectionary aisle where I spent time salivated over the colourful and enticing selection of goodies. My favourite Lindt chocolate was on special.

I’m Giving Up Sugar!

Ok, I’ve decided I’m giving up sugar for one month and the only way I think I’ll be able to do it is if I hold myself accountable by blogging my way through it. I have a sweet tooth and sugar is my best friend. I know I’m addicted to it because I go crazy if I can’t get a hit. I will tear the pantry apart looking for something sweet. If there’s no chocolate I can feel my stress levels rising. I’ll pull apart every container looking for a morsel of chocolate. If I’m lucky, I’ll find the chocolate cooking buds. Compound chocolate is better than nothing. Nutella works well too with Milo coming a close third. Failing that, condensed milk hits the spot, maple syrup, jam and Milo cereal.
