Corpse is set at Christmas-time in London, 1936 and features the eccentric, unemployable actor, Evelyn and his twin, wealthy businessman, Rupert. Both roles are played by Dean Mayer who does a fine job of juggling two very different personalities without skipping a beat.
Evelyn, who is wildly resentful of his wealthy brother’s fortune, plots to have him murdered so that he can take over his identity for the sole purpose of acquiring his money. He lures Major Ambrose Powell, played by Thian Sykes, to do the dirty deed knowing that the retired alcoholic Major is in desperate need of money, and his shady past makes him the perfect set-up.
